I have six of Bill's trumpets. I really enjoy these horns. For those of you who are in Colorado, come out to CMEA in Colorado Springs later this month to try these well designed instruments. Bill has a new Eb cornet as well to show.
See you there.

Just bought a used Pfund in silver, lightweight, looks like yellow brass model. I am impressed as I just picked up the horn after too many years off. Very open. The horn was in as new condition. Are they made in Taiwan as I hear. It makes no difference to me as I already looked into Carol Brass. When some of the lip comes back I will be able to push it a little. Is there anything specific you can say, having experience with them for so long? I would appreciated any input you have. My email addie is sobrone@sio.midco.net. My name is Brian Baumgarn, 67, of Sioux Falls, SD. I have seen your recommentations on Bill's website. Thanks alot ahead of time.

ReplyDeleteHi Brian, yes, Bill's horns are easier to play then the horns I used to play. Specifically, I am comparing them to the Blackburn Bb and Bach C I used to play. I find that it helps to relax and and let the horn do the work. Focus on a beautiful full sound and play in the center of each note. Let me know what you think.
